Job description

Are you an Assembly Supervisor seeking career growth? HMC has an opportunity for you! Located at our manufacturing facility in Jacksonville, FL, you will oversee and manage a team of hourly employees in a manufacturing environment, ensuring safety, production, and quality goals are met or exceeded. In this role, you will directly manage production employees, promote safety awareness, and motivate the team to achieve high productivity levels. You will also collaborate with other departmental supervisors and team leads to address and communicate any production-related issues.

IN THIS ROLE, YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE:

• Supervise assembly employees to ensure adherence to procedures and quality standards
• Work closely with Maintenance Technicians, other Supervisor’s and Materials department to resolve issues.
• Schedule and conduct daily toolbox meetings
• Ensure productivity, safety, and quality key performance indicators (KPIs) are met.
• Follow established company policies and Quality System procedures, ensuring products meet specifications and rejecting those that do not.
• Train new personnel in various assembly areas to ensure skill development and process understanding
• Implement and support 5S +1 and 3W+1H to improve workplace organization and efficiency.
• Close jobs and ensuring all materials are properly issued.
• Develop and maintain clear work instructions for assembly processes.
• Provide assistance in production as necessary to meet operational goals. WHO YOU ARE: You are someone who breaks down objectives into appropriate initiatives and actions. You readily action new challenges, without unnecessary planning. You persist in accomplishing objectives despite obstacles and setbacks. You understand that different situation may call for different approaches. You gain insight into customer needs. You create teamwork allowing others across the organization to achieve shared objectives.

FOR THIS ROLE, YOU WILL NEED:
• Diploma in any related field
• 3+ years of job-related Assembly supervisory experience
• Ability to read and understand reports, blueprints, and transition sheets.
• Good mechanical aptitude skills • Ability to fairly enforce the rule
• Ability to train and motivate employees • Strong planning, organization, problem solving, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
• Prior supervisory or leadership experience including direction, engagement, and coaching
• Effective communication skills: verbal and written (English)
• Ability to work in the US without need for sponsorship now or in the future
